I offer private instruction in horn performance, music theory, improvisation, as well as group instruction, and coaching for chamber ensembles. I have taught young children as well as adults, beginners as well as advanced players, using a holistic approach to teaching that blends old techniques and sensibilities with the needs of modern musicianship.

My current rates are $95 per lesson if scheduled individually and payment received at or after lessons, or a discounted fixed rate of $320 per month for weekly lessons if paid in advance. I can teach in my home, at the student’s home if we live within a reasonable distance, or via video chat. Need-based scholarships may be available on a case-by-case basis.
